What to give a mother on her 80th birthday? "Lucy" was commissioned as a mother's 80th birthday gift. For months due to the coronavirus, Lucy has been this mother's constant, frequently only, companion. Lucy is her joy, reason to get up in the morning, security, and faithful carer. Painting this portrait warmed my soul.
